Sauzé Frères was part of Frères Sauzé et Cie, which was established by Leopold and Maurice Sauzé. After relatively obscure beginnings in Marseilles in 1820 the company moved first to Lyons and then to Paris in 1900 to an address of 25 rue d’Hauteville, Paris. In the 1920's the company became well known as perfumers who also sold cosmetics and toiletries. It is worth recalling that Messrs. Sauzé Frères were the first French perfumers to create artistic posters for Perfumery.
The perfume factory of the Sauzé brothers moved to rue Ménelotte in Colombes in 1913, and for fifty years thereafter, it produced luxury perfumes and cologne.
Sèvres was launched in 1936. It is classified as an exquisite sweet feminine floral with lovely sillage and a long lasting presence.
Top notes are Orange Blossom, Neroli, Bergamot, and Lemon
Heart notes are Rose, Rose Geranium, Jasmine, Ylang Ylang, and Melissa
Base notes are Sandalwood, Cedar, Oak Moss, and Ambergris
The original bottle was a lovely white bisque porcelain, and later, this crystal bottle was introduced. Underneath the white cap is a beautiful crystal bouchon. It is sealed. Offered here is a very rare one ounce flacon of this stunning perfume. It is such a lovely scent, warm, floral, feminine, and sophisticated. Absolutely gorgeous!! Hugely collectible ..
