The perfume house of Parfums d'Orsay is a truly aristocratic perfume line from France. The philosophy of the house is based on quality, understatement, character, seduction, praise, creativity and originality. They are very proud of their long tradition and heritage.
Although the house never belonged to the Count d'Orsay himself, his perfumes and the romantic air of his name gave birth to the Compagnie Francaise des Parfums d'Orsay, founded in 1908 with the goal to preserve the Count's perfume heritage and develop an aristocratic luxury perfume house on its basis. Many of the perfumes developed in this great perfume house were designed for men.
Le Dandy by D`Orsay is a beautiful woody spicy fragrance for men. Le Dandy was launched in 1925. The nose behind this fragrance is Dominique Preyssas.
Top notes are Whiskey, Rum, Peach, Pineapple, and Plum
Middle notes are Ginger, Nutmeg, Cardamon, Cinnamon, and Clove
Base notes are Sandalwood, Benzoin, Patchouli, Tonka Bean, Peru Balsam, and Tobacco.
Named after the eponymous founder, Parfums d'Orsay's Le Dandy, embodies the gentleman's free-thinking, forward-thinking style and sophistication. Suggesting the soirees of the period; aged rum and whiskey mixes with the sweet wafts of tobacco. Spices sit at the heart of Le Dandy adding exoticism, whilst top notes of tropical fruits such as pineapple and peach hint at a colorful, confident character unhindered by opinion or the perception of others.
Offered here is a gorgeous bottle of Le Dandy in the Bouquet au Parfum format, which I am guessing is stronger than Eau de Toilette, but not a strong as parfum Extrait. It smells utterly heavenly and is in excellent condition.
