Parfumerie St.James de Jussy was established in 1890, at Halle-aux-Vins, in Paris. The firm was originally known as James Ducellier, with an earlier establishment at 2 Preau des Eaux-de-Vie, and they produced and sold both fragrances and cosmetics.
Tendre Murmure or ‘Tender Whisper’ was launched quite a bit later in 1949. There is not much if anything written about this perfume house or its perfumes on the Internet, since little was recorded of these things in those early years. So many of the smaller boutique perfumers were knocked out with the war, together with all their records.
This perfume is a lovely feminine floral, that suggests a romantic, seductive mood. It speaks of closeness and intimacy.
Top notes are Bergamot, Neroli, Orange Blossom, and Lily of the Valley
Heart notes are Rose, Jasmine, Ylang Ylang, and Carnation
Base notes are Sandalwood
Offered here is a beautiful bottle of Tendre Murmure, presented in a gorgeous flacon of chunky glass with a slightly cubic effect, with a similar carved bouchon. Never opened and almost full. Very rare. A small smudge on the label. No box.
