Appointed as creative director, Tom Ford rescued the failing company by injecting high-octane glamour, provocative sex appeal, and sleek minimalism into the collections, turning Gucci into a massive commercial success once again. Former accessories designer Frida Giannini took over full creative direction, pivoting the brand toward a more nostalgic, feminine, and bohemian aesthetic rooted in Gucci's historical archives.
