F. Millot Parfums was established in 1836 by Felix Millot. An early success of theirs was a scented product called La Pomade a la Graisse D'Ours. Millot went on to mature into a well-respected perfume house, garnering many exhibition medals and a lengthy portfolio of unique and original perfume compositions beginning in 1900 and ending in the late 1950's. Throughout the 1920's Felix's grandson Jean Desprez ran the house quite successfully. Under his auspices Millot gained a reputation for avant-garde productions.
Crêpe de Chine is an F. Millot fragrance from 1925. Provocative and fascinating, it is a true classic. This chypre fragrance was created in 1925 by Jean Desprez. It is a classic chypre floral with great depth and a leathery drydown. Crêpe de Chine was launched at the 1925 Paris Art Deco Exposition. The perfume derives its name from the very fabric of that name, which was a new material at the time, a fine silk. The original Crêpe de Chine has been discontinued since 1968.
Top notes are Neroli, Bergamot, Basil, Peru Oil and Aldehydes
Heart notes are Gardenia, Ylang Ylang, Sage, Rose Otto, Chamomile, and Jasmine
Base notes are Sandalwood, Oak Moss, Vanilla, Vetiver, Patchouli, and Benzoin

Offered here is a lovely and huge three ounce flacon of this beautiful perfume. It is a truly classic perfume, and smells heavenly! It has been previously opened, but barely used. The strings have been cut.
