Parfums Paul Boyer was established around 1920 in Paris, France. The company's name was often seen spelled as Pavl Boyer in advertisements. Some popular and prestigious artists helped to create the presentations for Paul Boyer. Georges Lepape designed the box for Bandoura and A.E. Marty designed the presentation box for the perfume Coreoba. The company was located at 15 Rue Royal in Paris.

The company seems to have been short lived and may have only survived into the mid 1950s, probably due to pressure of the Second World War. Cleopatra's Boudoir

Created under the name "Flowers of Beauty", clearly the Narcissus may have been a salute to Caron's Narcisse Noir. The bottle is similarly shaped, though the top is in some ways more beautiful, with the little sepals raised at the top of the glass bouchon. The box is sumptuous, lined with wine colored silk, and the bottle is decorated with a gold cord and tassle. The overall presentation is really lovely and very rich.

While there remains little on the Internet about Paul Boyer and his perfume line, I am going to suggest that the notes are similar to Narcisse Noir, as it does resemble the core element of the perfume, although it is a little more buttery and rich. The notes may be something like this ..

Top notes are Orange Flower, Bergamot, Petitgrain, and Persian Black Narcissus
Middle notes are Jasmine, Orange, Jonquil, and Rose
Base notes are Vetiver, and Sandalwood

Offered here is a very historic one ounce of this long vanished perfume. It is still rich and warm, with a comforting buttery note that lies close to the skin. About two thirds of the perfume remains. Beautiful flacon created by Julien Viard. It is not sealed and has been gently used.
